Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the AOS Service website or booking any Online Computer Help services provided by AOS.

Effective Date: July 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AOS Service website together with the Online Computer Help services provided by AOS. By accessing this website, submitting a consultation request, booking a remote support session or using any service offered through this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should discontinue the use of this website and refrain from using our services.

About AOS

AOS is the legal business entity that provides various online services. This website operates under the AOS Service brand and is dedicated to delivering Online Computer Help, including remote software troubleshooting, Windows optimisation and technical assistance for personal computers and laptops.

The information published throughout this website is intended to explain our services, educate computer users and assist customers in understanding the remote support process before booking an appointment.

Acceptance of These Terms

By using this website, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the applicable laws of your country or region. If you are using the website on behalf of another person or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

These Terms apply to every visitor, customer, consultation request and remote support session conducted through the AOS Service platform.

Description of Services

AOS provides appointment-based Online Computer Help through secure remote desktop technologies such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk or other mutually agreed remote assistance software.

Our services primarily include software-related support for Microsoft Windows computers and may include, where appropriate:

  • Windows troubleshooting and error diagnosis.
  • Computer performance optimisation.
  • Slow laptop and PC troubleshooting.
  • Operating system installation or reinstallation.
  • Windows configuration and optimisation.
  • Driver installation and software configuration.
  • Storage and file organisation guidance.
  • General computer maintenance and preventive support.

The exact scope of work for every appointment depends upon the condition of the customer's computer and the nature of the reported issue.

Services We Do Not Provide

To avoid misunderstanding, AOS Service does not provide certain services through remote support.

  • Physical hardware repairs.
  • Replacement of computer components.
  • Motherboard-level repairs.
  • Screen replacement.
  • Keyboard replacement.
  • Battery replacement.
  • Repairs requiring physical access to the device.

If our engineers determine that a reported issue is caused by defective hardware or another condition that cannot reasonably be resolved through remote assistance, we will advise you accordingly. In such situations, you may be referred to an authorised local repair centre or the device manufacturer's service provider.

Eligibility to Use Our Services

To use our Online Computer Help services, you should:

Be Authorised

Be at least 18 years of age or have permission from a parent, guardian or authorised representative.

Own the Device

Have the legal right or appropriate permission to grant remote access to the computer requiring support.

Internet Access

Maintain a stable internet connection throughout the remote support session.

Compatible Software

Install or run the agreed remote desktop application required to establish a secure support session.

Appointment Scheduling

AOS Service operates strictly on an appointment-based service model. Remote support sessions are scheduled according to engineer availability, the nature of the reported issue and existing customer appointments.

Submitting a consultation request or booking enquiry does not automatically guarantee an immediate support session. Every request is reviewed before an appointment is confirmed.

Once an appointment has been allocated, customers are expected to be available at the agreed date and time with their computer switched on and connected to a reliable internet connection.

Before Your Appointment

  • Ensure the computer powers on normally.
  • Verify that your internet connection is stable.
  • Close unnecessary applications if possible.
  • Keep the computer charger connected for laptops where appropriate.
  • Remain available throughout the scheduled session.

Remote Access Consent

Our Online Computer Help service is delivered through secure remote desktop software such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk or another mutually agreed remote assistance application.

By requesting remote assistance, you voluntarily grant temporary remote access to your computer for the sole purpose of diagnosing, troubleshooting or resolving the issues that you have reported.

Remote access begins only after you provide the connection credentials required by the remote support software. You remain in complete control of your computer throughout the session.

Your Permission

Every remote session starts only after your explicit consent and connection approval.

Your Supervision

You may observe the entire remote session and communicate directly with our service engineer whenever required.

Your Control

You may terminate the remote connection at any time by closing the remote access application or disconnecting the session.

Temporary Access

Remote access is temporary and exists only for the duration of the authorised support session.

Customer Responsibilities

To enable efficient remote troubleshooting, customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the reported issue. Delays or incorrect descriptions may increase the time required to diagnose or resolve the problem.

Before commencing any service session, customers should, wherever reasonably possible, maintain a current backup of important files and personal data.

Customers are also responsible for ensuring that they have sufficient authority to request service for the computer being accessed.

Customer Responsibilities Include

  • Providing accurate contact information.
  • Describing technical issues honestly and completely.
  • Maintaining important data backups.
  • Keeping the computer connected throughout the session.
  • Following reasonable instructions provided by the service engineer.
  • Informing the engineer if confidential business systems require special handling.

Privacy During Remote Sessions

We recognise that customers may store personal documents, photographs, financial records and other confidential information on their computers. Respecting customer privacy is a fundamental part of our service.

Our engineers access only those areas of the operating system that are reasonably necessary to diagnose or resolve the reported issue. Personal files and folders are not intentionally opened, copied or examined unless doing so is necessary for the requested service and the customer has granted permission.

Customers are encouraged to remain present throughout the support session and may ask questions or request explanations whenever desired.

Technical Limitations

Remote computer support is highly effective for many software-related issues. However, certain problems cannot be diagnosed or repaired without physical access to the computer.

Examples include defective hardware components, liquid damage, electrical faults, damaged displays, faulty keyboards, failing storage devices and similar physical failures.

Where our engineers reasonably believe that a hardware fault exists, we will explain our findings and recommend appropriate next steps. This may include contacting the computer manufacturer or visiting a qualified local repair centre.

Remote Support May Be Limited By

  • Hardware failures.
  • Internet connectivity interruptions.
  • Operating system corruption.
  • Storage device failures.
  • Power supply problems.
  • Customer interruption of the remote session.

Service Charges and Payment

The initial consultation or system assessment may be offered without charge where applicable. If additional work is required after the assessment, our service engineer will explain the nature of the work, the estimated duration and the applicable service charges before any paid work begins.

Customers are under no obligation to proceed with the recommended service after receiving the initial assessment. The decision to continue always remains with the customer.

Payment instructions, accepted payment methods and verification procedures are published separately on the AOS Service website. Customers should follow only the payment instructions provided through our official website or authorised communication channels.

No paid remote support session will commence until the applicable service charges have been confirmed in accordance with our published payment procedures.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances may change after an appointment has been scheduled. Customers who are unable to attend a confirmed appointment should notify us as early as reasonably possible.

Where practical, appointments may be rescheduled to another mutually convenient date and time, subject to engineer availability.

Repeated appointment cancellations or failure to attend scheduled sessions without prior notice may affect future booking priority.

Data Backup Responsibility

Although our engineers exercise reasonable care while performing remote support, computer maintenance and operating system troubleshooting may occasionally require changes to system settings, software configuration or storage devices.

For this reason, customers are strongly encouraged to create a current backup of all important documents, photographs, business records and other valuable information before any service session begins.

AOS cannot guarantee recovery of data that has already been lost due to existing hardware failure, storage corruption, malware infection or previous software damage.

Recommended Before Every Service

  • Create a backup of important files.
  • Ensure cloud storage has synchronised successfully.
  • Disconnect unnecessary external storage devices.
  • Record important software licence keys if available.
  • Keep administrator account credentials accessible if required.

Service Warranty

Every computer is different. The condition of the operating system, installed software, hardware components and previous modifications may influence the outcome of remote troubleshooting.

Accordingly, AOS provides professional technical assistance based upon reasonable engineering practices but cannot guarantee that every reported issue can be completely resolved through remote support.

Where an issue cannot reasonably be resolved online, our engineer will explain the findings and recommend an appropriate course of action whenever possible.

Limitation of Liability

While AOS takes reasonable care during every remote support session, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

AOS shall not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to hardware failure, existing operating system corruption, malware infections, interrupted internet connectivity, electrical failures or the absence of suitable data backups.

Customers acknowledge that computer systems may already contain unknown faults before a remote support session begins. Our services are intended to diagnose and resolve reported software issues wherever reasonably possible and should not be interpreted as a guarantee against future failures.
